R.E.M. tickets limit set at 15,000

Tickets for R.E.M.'s gig in Marlay Park next summer are limited to 15,000.

The band's appearance at Marlay Park on 16 July is their first in Dublin since their 42,000 Lansdowne Road sell-out in 1999.

They previously sold out an 80,000 capacity Slane show in 1995.

Tickets for the Marlay Park concert are priced at €52.50 and go on sale on Wednesday, 18 December with a six per person limit.

R.E.M. are currently working on their upcoming album with a Greatest Hits album set to be released next summer.
