R.E.M. are to play an outdoor date at Dublin's Marlay Park next Summer.
The band's show on 16 July 2003 will be their first in Ireland since their 1999 Lansdowne Road gig as part of the 'Up!' tour.
Full ticket details will be announced later this week.
It has also been announced that a 'Best Of' R.E.M. album will be released next Autumn.
