Irish boyband D'Side beat Popstars Six to the 'Best New Tour Act' prize at the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party last week.
The band took 70% of the vote to win the award.
D'Side have been together for two years. Their debut single in Ireland 'Stronger Together' was a top five hit in August of this year.
Damien, Dane, Shane, Ryan and Derek have performed with Blue, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X and Blazin’ Squad while touring in the UK.
Their first UK single, 'Speechless', is set for release in the UK and Ireland in February 2003.
