The former drummer with Oasis has lost his bid to sue the group's lawyers after he was sacked, because he took too long to launch legal action.

Anthony McCarroll was trying to sue solicitors Statham Gill Davies over his sacking from the band in 1995 but the case was thrown out at the High Court in London.

McCaroll's case could not proceed because the claim was brought outside of the six-year time limit.

It was pointed out that McCarroll had already been awarded £550,000 stg in unpaid royalties in 1999, effectively severing any ties he had with band.
