US judge reduces P Diddy damages

A US judge has reduced a fine against Sean 'P Diddy' Combs from $2m to $450,000.

Judge William Z Wood of Forsyth Superior Court, Georgia, said Combs must pay damages to Cedrick Bobby Lemon, who sued Combs after the star allegedly ordered bodyguards to beat him up at a concert in 1995.

The judge had previously ordered Combs to pay $2.45 million in damages in September, after he failed to answer the allegations in Lemon's lawsuit within the given time limit.

Combs' lawyers are seeking to have the remaining judgement dismissed.
