After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that rapper Snoop Dogg has been offered the role of informer Huggy Bear in the bigscreen makeover of 'Starsky and Hutch'.
Variety reports that filming will begin in February with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the lead roles and 'Road Trip' helmer Todd Phillips directing.
The movie will bring the crimefighting duo into the present day and shows how they became partners.
Snoop Dogg recently appeared in the Oscar winning police drama 'Training Day'.
