Madonna's new film, 'Swept Away' is to go straight to video in the UK and Ireland after bombing at the US box office.
Directed by the singer's husband Guy Ritchie, 'Swept Away' managed to take just $375,000 at 196 theatres on its opening weekend in America.
The film is a remake of a 1974 Italian movie of the same name. Madonna plays a spoiled socialite who becomes stranded on a remote island with a sailor.
It had been due for release here in March.
