Hollywood actress Winona Ryder appeared in court in Los Angeles yesterday as her shoplifting trial began after ten months of delay.
Ryder pleaded not guilty to revised charges related to an incident at Saks Fifth Avenue store last December.
Jury selection for the case got underway, with particular effort going into finding a panel unaffected by the publicity surrounding the charges.
Ryder denies the allegations of grand theft, burglary and vandalism. If she is found guilty, she could face up to three years in prison on each count.
Jury selection is set to resume this afternoon.
