Madonna is reported to be writing a film based partly on her own life.
The US singer has described the film as a comedy about a woman who is very famous. "She lives in Hollywood and is well known but she's not well respected," she said.
"It's based on a lot of characters and people that I know. I think it's hysterically funny," she told The Sun.
Madonna hopes to direct the film herself. It is not yet known who will star.
The chart topper's current movie release 'Swept Away' has been panned by critics in the US and looks set to be a box office flop.
