Vicar Street to reopen next Friday

Dublin venue Vicar Street will open again for business on 18 October after three months of renovations and refurbishment.

The venue's capacity has increased from 700 seated to 1,100 seated and 1,000 standing to 1,500 standing.

Over the coming weeks Vicar Street will play host to the likes of Sinead O'Connor, Beth Orton, Nina Simone, Blondie and Aslan.

Stars who have graced the stage since Vicar Street first opened four years ago include Bob Dylan, Al Green, Christy Moore, The Monkees and Kelly Jones of Stereophonics.
