Popstars Hear'Say announce split

Hear'Say have announced that they have split up after less than two years.

The group was formed after winning the 'Popstars' reality TV show in the UK.

They released their first single 'Pure and Simple' in March 2001.

Members Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster, Noel Sullivan and Johnny Shentall have said that pressure and public abuse contributed to the split.

Their first album sold well but a second, released just a few months later, was not as successful.

Earlier this year original member Kym Marsh left the group and was replaced by ex-backing singer Johnny Shentall.

'Popstars: The Rivals' is currently showing on ITV.
