Mercury Music Prize nominee Gemma Hayes will play the awards ceremony in London tonight.
Hayes is nominated for her debut album 'Night on My Side'.
The ceremony will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1 tonight between 7.00pm and 9.00pm and will be shown on BBC 2 on 21 September at 12.05am.
The Streets are the favourites to take the award.
