'New' Beatles song for Beatles film

A legendary lost Beatles track from the recording sessions for their 'Sgt Pepper's…' album is to be used in a new "photofilm" about the band.

The London Times reports that 'Carnival of Light' is almost 14-minutes long and will be heard on the soundtrack of the film, which features 4,000 pictures of the band taken by Linda McCartney over a three-year period.

'Carnival of Light' is considered to be one the rarest Beatles songs and a taped version was played just once in public, at an avant garde festival in early 1967.

It has been reported that Paul McCartney wanted to release the track on the Beatles 'Anthology' but George Harrison was against the idea.
