Bob Geldof has told how he considered suicide after Paula Yates left him for Australian rocker Michael Hutchence.
Geldof, who had three children with Ms Yates, said he wrote out two lists - one with reasons to stay alive and the other with reasons to end it all.
The former Boomtown Rats frontman told Australian TV that the "why bother?" list was two pages, the "why stay?" list contained just two words - the children.
