Rapper Ludacris has joined the cast of the upcoming sequel to 'The Fast and the Furious'.
The follow-up to the 2001 hit again stars Paul Walker as undercover cop Brian O'Conner who this time around is on the trail of a drug dealer.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Ludacris will play his pal, Taj.
Also starring in the movie are singer Tyrese and Eva Mendes ('Training Day').
'The Fast and the Furious 2', which is directed by John Singleton ('Boyz N the Hood', the 'Shaft' remake), begins shooting this Autumn in Miami.
