'Big Brother' winner Kate Lawler is to do a stint as a DJ for British radio station Capital FM when one of their regular presenters goes on holiday next month.
In her first job since winning the £70,00 prize, Kate will fill in for host Steve Penk during his week off. The move follows fellow contestant Alex Sibley’s £1 million contract to appear in bleach ads.
Kate will broadcast a three-hour show between 10pm and 1am for five nights beginning on Sunday 1 September.
Reports have suggested that Kate's career is being guided by one of the UK's leading talent agencies, PFD, which also represents Kate Winslet, Ewan McGregor and 'Big Brother 2' winner Brian Dowling.
There have also been rumours that EastEnders bosses were seeking to recruit Kate as a replacement for Tamzin Outhwaite but these have been denied by the BBC.
