The latest action film from 'The Fast and the Furious' star Vin Diesel has knocked Mel Gibson from the top of the US box office chart.
'XXX' took $46 million in its opening weekend, leaving Gibson's crop circles movie 'Signs' in second place.
'Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams' is in third place with takings of $17 million this weekend, while 'Austin Powers in Goldmember' is fourth.
Clint Eastwood's 'Bloodwork' opened in fifth place.
