Simon Fuller has said he is planning to turn his Pop Idol TV show into a world-wide contest by pitting the winners against each other for the title of World Idol.
Viewers world-wide will be able to vote for their favourite winner according to Fuller.
Will Young won this year's 'Pop Idol' in the UK. In the US, there are now seven contestants competing for a recording contract.
