A libel suit brought by two former members of Destiny's Child over the lyrics of the song 'Survivor' has been settled out of court.
LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson had claimed that the song was in breach of an agreement between the parties that prohibited "any public comment of a disparaging nature concerning one another". They were also claiming for defamation, libel and fraud.
Frontwoman Beyoncé Knowles co-wrote the song. She said the lyrics – which include the words "You thought that I'd be stressed without you, but I'm chillin'. You thought I wouldn't sell without you, sold nine million" – were not aimed at the two former members.
LeToya and LaTavia left the band in 2000.
