Britney Spears is to star in a film set in the world of NASCAR motor racing.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the singer would play the daughter of a NASCAR team owner who helps get a former driver back on the track.
It was earlier reported that Spears would play a racer but, it has been confirmed that as part of the deal, she will share screen time with real life NASCAR drivers.
The movie will be produced by Britney's new company, Britney Spears Productions.
