Richard Gere has said he felt like sawing his feet off while preparing for his role in the film version of 'Chicago'.
He stars with Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta Jones in the movie, which is due for release in the US this Christmas.
Gere said he enjoyed learning to sing in a Broadway style, but added that the tap dancing was extremely painful.
His latest film, 'Unfaithful', is released in Ireland this weekend.
