Writer-director David Twohy and actor Vin Diesel are to team up again for the sequel to the sci-fi horror hit 'Pitch Black'.
The new film will be called 'Riddick', with Diesel returning in the title role as the convict who escaped the deadly planet at the end of the first movie.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the new film will provide a greater insight into the lawless universe which formed the backdrop to 'Pitch Black'.
Shooting is set to begin before the end of the year.
