Britney tops Teen Choice nominations

Britney Spears has been nominated for awards in five categories for this year's Teen Choice Awards.

The US pop princess is trailed closely be R'n'B singer Jennifer Lopez, who has four nominations.

Spears is nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Single for 'I'm a Slave For You', Best Actress in a Drama/Action Adventure for her film debut 'Crossroads', Best Chemistry (with Anson Mount in 'Crossroads'), and in the Female Hottie category.

She faces competition from J-Lo in all but the Best Chemistry category, with Lopez nominated for her film 'Enough' and single 'Ain't it Funny', with Ja Rule.

Pink has three nominations: Best Female Artist, Best Album for 'Missundaztood' and Best Single for 'Get the Party Started'.

The 4th Annual 2002 Teen Choice Awards, in association with Seventeen magazine, will take place on 19 August.
