Depp hires Scottish accent coach

Johnny Depp has hired a voice coach to help him pick up a Scottish accent for his new movie 'Neverland'.

Depp will play the Peter Pan author J M Barrie in the film, which is due for release next year.

The Kentucky-born actor hired the coach to help him perfect his Scottish twang following criticism of his attempt at an English 'Cockney' accent in last year's Jack the Ripper flick 'From Hell'.

Kate Winslet also stars in 'Neverland', which is based on the Allan Knee play 'The Man Who Was Peter Pan'.
