Eminem is to appear at the MTV Movie Awards which will take place in Los Angeles on 1 June.
The controversial American rapper will perform with Detroit duo The White Stripes.
Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar will host the annual award show.
'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' has received a total of six nominations, followed closely by 'The Fast and the Furious' and 'Rush Hour 2' with five apiece.
'Moulin Rouge' and 'Shrek' have each been nominated for four awards.
