A number of U2 fans lost money when they were sold tickets for a concert in Amsterdam that was never due to take place.
A London company called Total Entertainment Ltd sold £199 travel/accommodation/ticket packages for a concert in Amsterdam Arena this summer.
Total Entertainment Ltd announced that the concert was cancelled and returned the money – minus £17.50.
U2 management and Amsterdam Arena insist that the band was never due to play a concert there this summer.
In the Daily Mirror, U2's tour manager commented: "These unscrupulous people were taking deposits for a tour that didn't exist…I think they should be jailed."
