Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' has been named Britain's favourite single of all time.
A poll organised by the Guinness World Records British Hit Singles book saw the classic song beat John Lennon's 'Imagine' and the Beatles' 'Hey Jude' into second and third place respectively.
"It has become a classic phenomenon and one which no one will ever allow us to forget," said Queen guitarist Brian May of 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which reached number one on its initial release in 1975.
The all-time favourite top ten is completed by Abba's 'Dancing Queen', Madonna's 'Like A Prayer', Robbie Williams' 'Angels', the Beatles' 'Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever', the Spice Girls' 'Wannabe' and the Beatles' 'Yesterday' and 'Let It Be'.
The poll, which included over 31,000 voters, will be published in the 15th edition of the reference book on May 24.
