Former boyband member Keith Duffy has signed up for a role in television soap 'Coronation Street'.
According to press reports, the Boyzone singer will appear as an old friend of Ken Barlow's son Peter and will cause problems between Peter and his girlfriend Shelly.
Duffy told reporters that he will be allowed to keep his Dublin accent for the part.
His character will make a first appearance on screen this August.
