Oasis have knocked Pop Idol's Gareth Gates off the top spot in Britain with their single 'The Hindu Times'.
This is their first release in nearly two years and it went straight in at Number One.
Gates had spent four weeks at the top with his cover of 'Unchained Melody', beating Pop Idol's Will Young with 'Evergreen/Anything is Possible'.
All singles in the top three slots this week are new to the charts with *NSync at Number Two with 'Girlfriend' and Doves at Number Three with 'There Goes The Fear'.
