US TV actor Robert Blake has been arrested in Los Angeles for the murder of his wife almost a year ago.
Blake, who’s best known for his role as Tony Baretta in the 1970s detective series, is alleged to have shot Bonny Bakley as she sat in his sports car and waited for his emergence from a restaurant where they had both just dined.
The actor, who appeared in David Lynch’s ‘Lost Highway’ in 1997, has always denied he killed his wife and maintains many people in her life wanted her dead.
Police in Los Angeles are insisting they will seek the death penalty.
