Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to actor and comedian Dudley Moore who died yesterday after a long illness.
Moore, who was 66, had been suffering for many years with a degenerative disease known as sapranuclear palsy. He died from pneumonia, which was a complication of his condition.
Commenting on his passing, his co-star in the movie 'Arthur', Liza Minnelli, said that Moore "could make the world laugh and brought joy to millions".
Bo Derek, who starred alongside Moore in the hit comedy 'Ten', said that she adored the actor, as did everyone who met him. She described him as hilariously funny, yet very sensitive.
Film critic Barry Norman described the Golden Globe-winning actor and acclaimed pianist as a "tremendous personality" and "a very nice bloke".
A memorial service for Moore will take place at a later date.
