A fan who slipped while going to the bathroom during a U2 concert in Chicago has been awarded damages of $2.6m.
The man, Steven Chang, broke and disfigured his leg, forcing doctors to move his calf muscle just over his knee. He had to have eight surgeries and now walks with a limp.
None of the money awarded comes out of U2's pocket, however. The parties responsible for paying include the Chicago Park District and the company responsible for cleaning the bathrooms at the venue.
