Top US talk show host Oprah Winfrey has confirmed she’ll quit her show in 2006.
Winfrey has signed a new two-year deal to continue the The Oprah Winfrey Show until the 2005-2006 season, after which the former actress will hang up her microphone.
The Oprah Winfrey Show, which began airing in 1986, is the number one daytime chat show in the US and is currently aired in 100 countries around the world.
Winfrey is reportedly paid in the region of $150m a year.
