Mariah Carey is in talks with a record company which could end in a new recording contract next week.
The 31-year-old was bought out of her £70 million five-album deal with Virgin in January, with a £19.6 million golden handshake.
According to reports, Carey is in advanced negotiations with a new record company for a three-album deal which could be worth £3.5 million per record.
