Dwayne Wiggins, formerly of R'n'B trio Tony, Toni, Tone, has filed a law suit over this production company's relationship with US group Destiny's Child.
Wiggins claims he had an agreement dating back to 1995 in which Grass Roots "presented" Destiny's Child to Sony Music in 1996 for a seven-year period in exchange for "certain royalties" but that his former legal representatives issued another contract a year later, without his knowledge, limiting Grass Roots' royalties to just three albums.
Wiggins is looking for compensation and costs amounting to more than £10m.
This is the latest legal problem for the group, last week it was revealed that two former members of the group are suing the trio over lyrics contained in the song 'Survivor'.
Destiny's Child new compilation album 'This is a Remix' is due out on 11 March.
