A Circuit Court case has begun in Sligo over legal possession of video footage taken of three members of Westlife whenn they were part of a group called IOU.
Management company Streetwise Productions is claiming ownership of the tape and is suing the cameraman Ciaran Carthy for £30,000 for breach of contract.
Carthy denies there was ever any contractual agreement between himself and Streetwise Productions.
He says he was a friend of the boys in the group and claims the filming was done informally.
