Sinead O'Connor working with Massive Attack

Sinead O'Connor has provided vocals for several songs on the forthcoming Massive Attack album.

The Irish singer worked on two songs with the Bristol band for their eagerly awaited fourth album which is due to be released this autumn.

Massive Attack member Robert '3-D' Del Naja said: "We'd been talking about working with Sinead since before 'Protection' came out…We nearly got it together, then we met up with Tracey Thorn and it never took place. She's a very cool person, very sound. We did a couple of days in London with her last year and then she came to Bristol for two more days in January."

He described one of the new songs as having "a mystical, Eastern feel."

O'Connor has also contributed vocals to Moby's new album '18'.
