'NSYNC singer Lance Bass has had his application to fly into space rejected.
The 22-year-old had hoped to join a flight from Russia to the International Space Station this coming November.
A spokesman for MirCorp described the move as "an advertising stunt".
Sponsorship and a TV deal had been planned to help with the estimated $20m costs of Bass' dream trip.
