The jazz singer and pianist Diana Krall won several awards at Canada's first National Jazz Awards ceremony which were held in Toronto on Sunday night.
Krall's album 'The Look of Love' was named record of the year. She also received two other awards – Musician of the Year and Best International Musician.
Performers at the ceremony included the jazz pianist Oscar Peterson who was given a lifetime achievement award. Peterson, together with Moe Koffman, Jackie Washington and Dutch Mason, was inducted into the Canadian Jazz and Blues Hall of Fame.
