The US television series 'Sex and the City' – starring Sarah Jessica Parker - has received three nominations in the television comedy series category of this year's Directors Guild of America awards.
'Malcolm in the Middle' and 'Will and Grace' were also nominated in the comedy category.
In the dramatic series category 'The West Wing' received two nominations, 'The Sopranos', 'Six Feet Under' and '24' were also nominated.
This year marks the 54th annual DGA awards, which honour directors in the fields of drama, comedy and musicals.
