Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is to star in the play 'Proof ' on the London stage.
Paltrow will appear in the play at the Donmar theatre from May 15 – June 9.
She will play Catherine, the daughter of a mathematician who cares for her father when he goes insane.
Kate Winslet had previously been linked with the part.
'Proof' will be directed by John Madden, who Paltrow worked with on the Oscar-winning 'Shakespeare in Love'.
Paltrow's new film, 'Shallow Hal', is released in Ireland today.
