Hear'Say confirm Kym's departure

Britain's Popstars band Hear'Say have officially announced that Kym Marsh has quit – but they say the remaining four members will carry on.

The band has said that they will hold open auditions to find Kym's replacement.

Kym's departure comes less than a year after she won her place in the group on live television.

The band announced Kym's move on Top of the Pops, following talks to try and avert her departure.

Hear'Say have had two UK number one singles and their debut album also went to the top of the UK charts, but the group have been doing less well since then and there have been reports that the female members were not getting along.

The group are the product of the UK version of the television series 'Popstars'.
