A Tom Cruise fan missed her chance to talk to him because she was on the phone chatting to her ex-boyfriend.
Elaine O'Leary ignored the 'call waiting' tone as she thought it was one of her daughter's friends.
Little did she know it was Cruise, speaking on her daughter's mobile at the London premiere of his new film 'Vanilla Sky'.
She said: "I would rather have been speaking to Tom Cruise than my ex, that's certain."
The actor's message said: "Hi, this is Tom Cruise. Is anyone there?...There's no-one there. I'm just saying hi."
