Dido has been pulled from one of the shortlists for this year's Brit Awards after it was admitted that she had been wrongly included.
She has been dropped from the Best Newcomer category and replaced by singer-songwriter Tom McRae.
Eyebrows were raised after Dido made it on to this year's Best Newcomer list after she had been included in the category last year. It is not known if Atomic Kitten, also nominated for the second year running as Best Newcomer, will be removed.
Dido, who is still on the shortlist for this year's Best British Female Solo Artist, described the mix-up as "quite funny" and said it didn't bother her.
The Official UK Charts Company, which compiles the list, apologised for the mistake.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on 20 February.
