Former Beatle Paul McCartney is Britain's first ever pop billionaire, according to a newspaper survey of the UK's 300 wealthiest people, published yesterday.
McCartney has amassed a fortune of £1.1 billion sterling.
The top spot on the Sunday Express' 'Rich List' for 2002 went to Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone who sits on a reported £3.2 bn.
