'Coronation Street' is to axe a further eight characters, according to newspaper reports.
Shopkeeper Dev, barmaid Shelley, nurse Molly and Sam the stripper are being written out.
They face the chop along with four other characters, including Eileen Grimshaw.
The move is part of a shake-up of the soap in the ratings war with rival 'EastEnders'.

Producers are said to be planning a new set in The Flying Horse pub close to the Rovers Return in Weatherfield.
