Veteran BBC broadcaster John Peel is to receive an Honorary Doctorate from an English University.
The University of Bradford will bestow a Doctor of Letters degree on him at a ceremony on December 7.
The honour recognises his outstanding contribution to the field of popular music and his his 35-year broadcasting career.
This is Peel's second academic award, having received a Doctor Of Music degree from Liverpool University.
