RTÉ and the BBC's co-production 'Custer's Last Stand Up' has scooped an award at the British Academy Film and Television Awards.
The show won the Children's Drama category at the ceremony in London.
'Custer’s Last Stand-Up' stars 17-year-old Kildare–born George McMahon as Jamie Custer, an aspiring young comic with dreams of making it to the top.
The award was for the first episode of the first series, 'Leave Them Laughing', written by Gail Renard.
It was cited for its strong and original humour played with great zest by the cast.
The second series has already been recorded and will begin with two episodes back to back on Network 2 at 5.00pm on New Year's Day.
