British group Blur have halted rumours of an impending band split by confirming they are set to record a new album.
Despite recent in-fighting, the band have be begun writing together and hope to get into the studio to put down some tracks.
It is almost three years since the band's last album '13', which received much critical praise.
In recent months, Damon Albarn has been working full-time on his successful side project, The Gorillaz who have scooped several high-profile music awards.
