Irish pop star Samantha Mumba has revealed that she was shocked when she landed a role in the film 'The Time Machine'.
She said, "I got sent the script and even my agent didn't think I had a chance". "I got a call asking me for a second screen test a week later and I nearly died. Then, when I heard I had got the part, I had a panic attack. 'Can I act?' I was asking myself."
Guy Pearce and Mark Addy also star in the film, which was made by Steven Spielberg's company Dreamworks and directed by HG Wells' grandson Simon.
'The Time Machine' is due out in March 2002.
